Event Waiver & Consent

These are the terms, risk warning and consent wording that apply when you attend a She Circle event. This page carries the exact wording from our printed waiver and consent form (version v2026-09-12), reformatted here for reading on the web — no wording has been changed.
Risk warning & waiver
Please read before signing. In this form, "The She Circle", "we" and "us" mean Pluralstar Pty Ltd (ABN 41 669 590 176) trading as The She Circle, and include its directors, employees, contractors, instructors and volunteers (Pluralstar agrees as their agent and trustee, and they may rely on this form). Signing is a condition of admission, and admission is the consideration for my agreement.
Recreational activity. The Bollywood Wellness Disco is a recreational activity: a Zumba-style dance-fitness disco led by a qualified fitness instructor, with social and community activities. I take part voluntarily.
Risk warning (Civil Liability Act 2002 (NSW)). Dance-based group exercise involves physical exertion and sustained aerobic and dance movement in a shared space with low or changing lighting. The risks include: strains and sprains; slips, trips and falls; collisions with other participants or objects; dizziness, fatigue and dehydration; cardiovascular events such as heart attack; and aggravation of an existing injury or condition. They may result in personal injury, serious injury or, in extreme cases, permanent disability or death. I have read and understood this risk warning and I voluntarily accept these risks.
Looking after myself. I will follow the instructor's directions, move within my limits, modify or rest whenever I need, and tell the event team promptly if I feel unwell or am injured.
Release. In return for being allowed to take part, I give up my right to claim against The She Circle for death or personal injury connected with these recreational services, so far as the law allows. This includes claims under the consumer guarantees for services in sections 60 to 62 of the Australian Consumer Law. I give this release under section 139A of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and section 5N of the Civil Liability Act 2002 (NSW). It does not cover reckless conduct (section 139A) or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
First aid. If I am injured or unwell at the event, The She Circle may arrange first aid and, if needed, an ambulance or emergency treatment; those costs are mine unless my injury results from The She Circle's breach of these terms or the law.
Photography and filming — condition of entry. The event is photographed and filmed, and images that include me may be used by The She Circle in its marketing and on its social media channels. I agree to this as a condition of entry (see the "Photography and filming — condition of entry" notice on this form).
Declarations
I declare that: (a) I am 18 or over — entry is for adults only, and ID may be checked where age is in doubt; (b) I am not aware of any medical condition that makes it unsafe for me to take part in dance-based exercise, and if I have any condition or injury I have obtained any medical advice I need and will exercise within my own limits; and (c) the details on this form are true.
Photography notice
Photography and filming — condition of entry. Our events are photographed and filmed, and photographs and video that include your image may be used by The She Circle in its marketing and on its social media channels; by attending, you agree to this as a condition of entry. If you would prefer not to be featured, tell our team on the night or email hello@theshecircle.com.au — we will do our best to keep you out of shots and will take down any photo of you from our channels if you ask; if we cannot reasonably accommodate you and you choose not to attend, we will refund your ticket. AI image opt-in
☐ Yes — AI images (optional). The She Circle may use AI tools to edit photos or video of me, or to create new AI images based on photos of me (for example, stylised event artwork), for its social media and promotions. This is voluntary and separate from the photography condition of entry: leaving this box blank changes nothing about my entry, and I can change my mind at any time by emailing hello@theshecircle.com.au — withdrawal applies to future use, and for anything already published The She Circle will take reasonable steps to remove it from its own channels, though it cannot guarantee removal of copies made by others.
Membership & marketing opt-in
☐ Yes — Membership + emails (optional). Please add me to The She Circle's free member list and send me newsletters and marketing emails about The She Circle and future events. I can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by emailing hello@theshecircle.com.au, and leaving this box blank has no effect on my entry.
Privacy collection notice
The She Circle (Pluralstar Pty Ltd, ABN 41 669 590 176) collects your name, contact details, signature and any health information you choose to share, so we can run this event, manage sign-in and safety, respond to any incident and, if you opt in, send member emails; if you do not provide your details, you may not be able to sign in or attend. By providing health information, you consent to us collecting, using and disclosing it to keep you safe, including to medical and emergency providers; images may be used in our marketing and social media as described in the "Photography and filming — condition of entry" notice in these terms. We may also disclose information to our service providers (email, IT and image-editing), to the social media platforms where images are posted, and to our advisers if there is an incident — some of these may store or process information overseas.
